Here's what we've been reading online this week:

KidzMatter had a post entitled "Helping Kids Navigate the Bible". It starts out with helpful Bible study techniques, but he best best part of this post to me was the "non-negotionables" of Scripture. These are qualities of Scripture that both parents and pastors would do well to help kids think through.

Greg Baird had a post on true leadership. He wrote, "The difference between managing and leading is the difference between coordinating and influencing." Pastors and leaders need a compelling vision and the ability to communicate it effectively.

Our own Jared Kennedy had a post on the ERLC on kids and anxiety. He says, "Our goal shouldn’t be to change how they feel but simply recognize our kids’ emotions and affirm our love." While focusing on keeping our kids safe, we miss out on ministering to their hearts. As parents we need to focus on our kid's hearts, in order to see them grow and mature, not just their behavior.
