Here's what we've been reading online this past week:

Christina Embree wrote a post on the weightiness of parenting. She says, "What happens at home carries a lot of weight in a kid’s life. It’s not just the time. It’s the weightiness of those hours." Parents, use the time with intentionality, this post will help.

Greg Baird wrote a post on why pastors/directors shouldn't be teaching kids. He says, "... I DO encourage the children’s pastor/director to teach the kids, just don’t commit to a single class on a week to week basis." He then goes on to explain why. If you are a pastor or director of a children's ministry this is helpful to think through.

Whitney Woollard wrote a post on Dad's as disciplers. She wrote, "All fathers (again, for better or worse) daily disciple their children and teach them, perhaps unconsciously, about the character of God." Dad's this is a great post reminding us of our awesome responsibility.

Trevin Wax wrote a post about the movie Inside Out. He says, "... Pixar hopes to continue its streak of excellent and beautiful films that exceed the audience’s ever-growing expectations." Parents, if your kids are like mine, they are excited about this movie. Read this and see what Trevin says about it.

Colin Smith wrote a post on fatherhood and leadership. He wrote, "Your family may be difficult and even dysfunctional right now. But your calling is that your wife and your children will feel hope because you’re there, effectively leading them. Your calling is that they will flourish and grow because of the way you’re guiding the family’s life." Dads, here's another one for you.
