Here’s what we’ve found helpful online:
David Rausch, creator of the Go! Curriculum, had a timely post listing ways a pastor can make the sermon more kid friendly. Since most churches that are opening back up are doing so without Children’s Ministry, pastors need to keep in mind their expanded audience. Share this with your lead/teaching pastor.
David Murray was over on Gospel-Centered Discipleship with a post asking the question, “Who’s Discipling Your Children?” While keeping in mind the great commission, he writes, “There’s no point in traveling the world to disciple the nations if we neglect our own children under our own roofs.” This is a great reminder that family is our primary, but not only, ministry.
New Growth Press had a post entitled “The Blessing of Parenting”. While it’s a promotion for a new book called Tying Their Shoes: A Christ-Centered Approach to Preparing for Parenting by Rob and Stephanie Green. The post says, “Parents can enjoy the stage their child is in and anticipate what God will do with the child in the next stage.” This would be a great resource to give expecting parents.
