Here’s what we’ve been reading online this week:

New Growth Press had a post on kids and sadness. It reads in part, “It’s especially hard for children when they experience their first loss. The loss could be a pet, friendship, a friend, a relative, a precious toy, or even a blanket that has been a lifelong comfort. Grief and sadness are our natural response to losing something important to us. Here are some truths from the Bible to share as you talk with your child about a loss.” The post then goes on to list 6 things that parents and pastors need to keep in mind.

Ed Stetzer talked about the discipleship of kids on his podcast. With churches just starting to reopen and most without children’s ministry programs, it’s important that parents have the tools and training they need disciple their kids. The podcast is just over 35 minutes that will help churches think through the issues of equipping parents.

Aaron Earls had a post entitled “5 Biggest Concerns Pastors Have Right Now.” All 5 of the concerns mentioned are real. Most churches are dealing with multiple concerns at the same time. This is a good reminder for all of us to be praying for your pastors and elders.
