Welcome to Gospel-Centered Family

Our mission is to help churches and families share Jesus with the next generation

What began as a blog is now a ministry. We’d love for you to check out our books, VBS curriculum, and coaching resources. But the best way to get to know GCF is to subscribe to our weekly newsletter. We typically post reflections about parenting and family ministry each Friday along with links to our favorite resources from around the web.

Leadership

Trey Kullman, Managing editor

Trey is the husband of Annie and has three wild kids—Mabel, Porter, and Whitaker. Along with Kevin Hippolyte and Jared Kennedy, he is co-author of Faith Builder Catechism: Devotions to Level Up Your Family Discipleship. He loves visiting national parks across the country, obsessing over Formula 1 racing, and exploring new restaurants wherever he goes. Follow him on Twitter or Instagram @treykullman for bad sports takes, occasional TV recommendations, and a boatload of gifs. You can hear Trey on our Press Pause podcast, and read his weekly updates in our newsletter.

Jared Kennedy, Cofounder and Principal

Jared Kennedy (ThM, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) serves as cofounder and principal of the Gospel-Centered Family website and ministry. He’s also the managing editor for books and curriculum at The Gospel Coalition. Before his time at TGC, Jared served for a decade and a half as a children’s minister and family pastor in local churches. Jared is series editor for TGC’s Hard Questions series, author of books such as Big Thoughts for Tiny Tots (New Growth, 2026) and The Story of Martin Luther (Crossway, 2024), and author of curriculum such as The Beginner’s Gospel Story Curriculum for Toddlers and Preschoolers (New Growth, 2026). He has bylines at ChildDiscipleship.com, Christianity Today, Credo Magazine, the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, He Reads Truth, and Mere Orthodoxy. Jared and his wife, Megan, have three daughters. They live in Louisville, Kentucky, and are members at Sojourn Church Midtown. You can hear Jared on our Press Pause podcast.

Kevin Hippolyte

Kevin is the husband of Kelly and father to Asa Jordan. He serves as the director of student ministry at Sojourn Church Midtown. He also serves on the board at Hope Collaborative, a trauma-sensitive community development organization serving students, internationals, and neighbors in Louisville, Kentucky. Along with Jared Kennedy and Trey Kullman, he is co-author of Faith Builder Catechism: Devotions to Level Up Your Family Discipleship. You can listen to Kevin on the Press Pause podcast, or look for his posts on the GCF Instagram page.
