Here’s what we’ve been reading online lately:

William P. Smith had a post on what do you when you’ve blown it as a parent. He starts out the post by saying, “Every parent knows how easy it is to say hurtful things to their children.” He then goes on the list several things parents can do about it make it right. Parents since this is something we all do, we can all learn from this.

Zach Eswine had a post on fatigue. He wrote, “Accumulated fatigue signals the gradual build-up of circumstantial stresses, mental challenges, and relational sorrows.“ He then lists things to keep in mind when we finally recognize it. This is a helpful post for pastors as well as parents.

Pathos had a post for parents on the importance of corporate worship. He concludes the post this way, “Parents, we need to stop “programming” our children to fail in spiritual things by substituting spiritual things with an excess of programs (say that 10X fast), and get back to reminding ourselves of our responsibilities and showing our children that true joy is found in the presence of King Jesus (Ps 16:11).” This is challenge for most parents in the culture we find ourselves in.
