While it’s been a busy week for us, here are two blog posts we found helpful:
Our friend, Sam Luce, had a post about the impact a Bible can have. He writes, “The reality is that one day I won’t be here anymore. I will be absent in body but present with Christ. How do I want to be remembered by my grandkids? What do I want them to think of when they think of me? I hope that my life will be small, and He to whom I point will be large.” It’s important to model personal Bible study for our kids … this is something that is caught rather than taught. We can give them the tools and techniques all day long, but those things don’t teach passion for the Word. Sam has an excellent idea for how to make God’s Word special for your kids. Check out his post to learn more.
Ministry Spark had a post recently on importance of a vibrant special needs ministry. This three-point post reminds ministry leaders of the unique challenges a family with special needs kids has and how the church can come alongside them and help. If you are a pastor or ministry leader, this post will help you to think through the challenges special needs families have with hope, purpose, and belonging.
