Family Friday Links 1.29.16
Here’s what we’ve been reading online this week:
Jared again points readers to LifeWay Kids for their new years resolutions for getting to know the families in your ministry. It concludes this way, “Make it a 2016 priority to get to know the families in your kids ministry!” This post lists practical ways to accomplish this, check it out.
This week we get a double dip from our friend Sam Luce. He wrote on post on Taylor Swift and being a role model as well as a post on how to make sure your kids end up on The Bachelor. Both are insightful as well as practical.
For the Church had a post entitled, “Your Family is Not Your Qualification”. In it, my friend Reid Monaghan wrote about the priority of family as primary ministry before that being an elder or pastor of a church. This is a good and sobering reminder for leaders.
The Crossway blog had a post by Don Whitney about Fathers and family worship. It reads, “ … blessed is the family where the good news of what God has done through Jesus Christ is declared and discussed, day after day, generation after generation.” This is a helpful post for all parents.
