Here is what we’ve found to be helpful reads online:
Children’s ministry veteran, Jim Wideman, had a post on the Church Leaders site about signs to look for to evaluate if kids are really following Jesus. He concludes the post this way, “To me, the proof of the discipleship process is in the living. It’s not what you know or feel or think; it’s knowing Christ, walking by faith, thinking the Word and doing exactly what it says.” This is a great resource for parents and pastors.
Lifeway Kids had a post on encouragement for when things get tough in ministry. This is a practical post that applies to more that just ministry, it’s really a way to look at life as we near the end of COVID. If you’ve ever wanted to quit, and we’ve all been there, this post is for you.
Tony Merida had a post on The Gospel Coalition site about apathy. He lists four answers to the question, “How do we move the whatever people into passionate worshiping people?” The is a challenging post that will help leaders think through this issue.
