Here's what we've been reading online this past week:
Dale Hudson had a post on why millennial parents are leaving the church. He wrote this post because these are families our churches are trying to reach. He lists several reasons why they are leaving and what leadership needs to consider in order to keep them. For pastors and ministry leaders this is an important read.
Lisa Jacobson had a post on preparing sons to be husbands. It lists qualities that dads need to model and moms can be encouraging in their boys. Parents this is a great read that more of us should practice.
Medium had a post on kids and technology. If your kids can't seem to "unplug", this post suggests it's because, "... lurking behind their kids’ screens and phones are a multitude of psychologists, neuroscientists, and social science experts who use their knowledge of psychological vulnerabilities to devise products that capture kids’ attention for the sake of industry profit." This is yet another warning for parents to be engaged in the things kids are doing online and help their kids see the idol that technology can become.
