Here’s what we’ve been reading online lately:

Our friends at Crossway had a post about kids and theology. It reads, “Don’t hold back out of fear that they won’t understand. Feed them the fullness of the gospel and the big words of theology.” Even if our kids don’t totally understand, this provides opportunities for conversation as we fill them with wonder and curiosity.

Cam Hyde had a post about kids and how parents know their kids know Christ. It reads, “Parenting is so hard and every good parent wants the best for their kids. All Christian parents want their children to know Christ, but we must strive to be the primary disciplers in their lives.” He reminds parents of categories parents should be thinking through as they seek to disciple their kids.

Timothy Paul Jones wrote a great post about kids in community. After laying out truths about kids in the church, he goes on to explain different methods of child care and spiritual development within the context of community. He lists the pros and cons and then challenges the reader to move in a healthier direction. This is an important topic for churches and leaders to think through.
