Children's Music Liturgy: God's Faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22–23)
God is faithful! Even when things seem to be going terribly wrong, our good and faithful God is in charge of everything.
I wrote this short children’s worship service to teach the kids in our children’s ministry about God’s faithfulness. I hope it’s helpful for you!
Opening Song: “God’s in Charge of Everything”
Written by Isaac Wimberely © 2009 The Village Kids
Leader 1: Our memory passage for this month is Lamentations 3:22-23! Can you repeat it after me?
The steadfast love (Cross arms over heart; ASL for “love.”)
of the Lord (Make an L with right hand and move it across your chest; ASL for “Lord.”)
never ceases. (Move right arm in front of you slowly from left to right.)
his mercies never come to an end; (Hold out your hands in front of you one at a time and repeatedly like you are giving gift after gift.)
they are new every morning; (Hold folded arms in front of you then slowly raise your right arm so that it’s perpendicular with your left arm; ASL for “morning.”)
great is your faithfulness. (Raise your arms to the heavens.)
Leader 2: Let’s sing a song to help us remember it.
Song #2: “Your Faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22-23)”

Leader 1 & 2: Let’s think of ways that God is faithful to us even when things are going terribly wrong.
Spoken as a call and response between leaders 1 and 2:
When we get sick… He’s the healer.
When we are weak… He’s our strength.
When we need an advocate… He speaks up for us.
When we’re broken down… He rebuilds us.
When we were enslaved… He rescued us.
When we were sinful… He’s our Savior!
Jesus is such a faithful Savior! And because he’s such a faithful God, we can live faithfully as well. Let’s sing about how Jesus can make us faithful.
Song #3: Make Me Faithful

Leader 1: Who can tell me what time it is? (Kid’s answer: It’s catechism time!)
Leader 2: Here is our question for this month! I’ll read the question and you will all read the answer together!
Q: Does God keep his promises? A: Yes! God is faithful even when we are not.
Leader 2: Let’s pray! Bow your heads… and fold your hands… and close your eyes… and let’s talk to God right now!
Father, your steadfast love endures forever. In the past, you showed faithfulness to Abraham, Moses, and David. You’ve shown us your faithful love as well through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you for your faithfulness, and help us to be faithful to you. Amen.
