In this episode, we explore the story of Creation! God reveals so much of his character, creativity, and kindness in his creation and we look at the implications on our lives through the story of creation.

Follow Up Questions for Parents

If you’ve listened to the podcast with your kids or you know they have listened, here are a few questions that you could use to help them connect the dots of this story to their lives.

1. God was at the center of everything before creation and since he created the world, He continues to be the center of creation. It is the created order to keep him in that place in our hearts. When we put anything else in His spot, things begin to crash and clash. What would you say is at the center of your life? Have you noticed complications in your life when you make what you want at the center?

2. God created man and then created woman for man. He made them a perfect match for each other. Do you see this when you look around? How so? And have you noticed when it goes poorly? What do you think is the cause of that (see question 1)?

3. What day of creation do you think would have been most impressive to see? Why?

Recommended Resources

I used several books as a reference when I created this podcast. I wanted to read several accounts from trusted children’s authors (and some others as well) as I considered the implications of creation in our lives. Obviously, if you listen to the story, it isn’t exhaustive but I chose to focus on a few things I thought were helpful and particularly relevant.
