Happy New Year!! Here are links to what we’ve been reading online:

Ministry Spark had a post (written by our good friend Sam Luce) on helping kids with sorrow and pain. It reads, “Children want to know if it’s going to hurt or be hard. Because when we tell them the truth, we do two things. We let them know they can trust us. And we teach them how to cope with difficulty.” Because we live in a sin stained world, we have a God given responsibility to give our kids what they desperately need, the truth about their need for a Savior.

Fierce Marriage had a post (and podcast) not the topic of narcissism in marriage. It reminds the readers, “…narcissism is rooted in pride.” In the end, narcissism devalues people. This can be destructive to any relationship, but especially to marriages.

The Gospel Coalition had about the importance of catechism for our kids. This post serves as a warning to parents, that someone with catechize our kids; social media, peers, and the like. Parents can’t simply outsource this responsibility, but are called to be the primary spiritual influence of their kids.
